As well as being at the beach, all weekend, I will also be at CASTLEWOOD VINEYARD, AXMINSTER THIS SATURDAY (11th JUNE, ALL DAY) for their food & drinks festival!
I’m super lucky to have the superhero Tom as my husband, who will be running the Seatown beach bar Saturday for me!
About CastleWood Vineyard…
From 2006 – 2009 Castlewood Vineyard emerged from a south-facing Devon hillside overlooking the river Axe.
This steady progression enabled traditional sparkling wine varieties to be trailed and planted. Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier represent three quarters of the vineyard, each responsible for the Vintage Sparkling Wines. Non classic varietals represent the rest, providing fruit for blending and development of our NV Sparkling Wines.
Each year, the harvest from their boutique vineyard is enjoyed in the form of their annual wine festival.
And it’s that time of the year again! This Saturday they are hosting their festival boasting live music, glamping, incredible food & drinks & I’m SOOO excited to be there with you all!

Scolly-pops
Hand-dived scallops, drenched in garlic butter, served on a lolly stick!
Crab taco box
Two soft tortillas stuffed with local, hand picked brown crab, zingy lime and chilli salsa, and a squeeze of sour cream and guacamole dressings
Lobster (1/2 or whole)
Split & prepared then drizzled with garlic butter. Served with rocket & local award-winning baked focaccia.
Prawn Box
A pint size amount of shell-on prawns in a box! Pick & peel then dip into a homemade cocktail sauce.
Oysters-The Portland Pearl.
Like kissing the sea! Shucked to order, served with shallot vinegar, Tabasco & lemon wedges.
